Got me a Ron Jon Surf Festival trophy :)

First time surfing Cocoa Beach, FL at the Ron Jon Surf Festival in Easter '11. Got through some tough heats with good competitors to finish 4th overall in the Menehune Boys 12 & Under. Pretty happy with the result given the tricky beach break conditions, a lot of inconsistent chop. Gonna use the momentum to get another solid result at the East Coast Surf Championships in August. Met shaper Rich Price and leant a bit about shaping at his shaping bay in Melbourne and also at Peli Surfboards. A shout out to the Bajan squad Josh, Dane, Jacob, Zander, Che, Evan, Chelsea, Bella and Coach Burkie, also a special congrats to Chelsea Roett for her 7th place in her ASP debut at the Rob Machado Seaside event.
